A place of scenic beauty blessed with a
distinctive coastline and abundant greenery,
Kaga, situated in southern Ishikawa Prefecture,
offers travelers a chance to enjoy typically
Japanese seasonal change. Kaga's prosperity
as the castle town of the Daishoji clan
during the Edo period coincided with the
development of distinctively Japanese cultural
pursuits including the tea ceremony, Kutani
porcelain and Yamanaka lacquerware to a
highly cultural and artistic level. Kaga
is also home to three renowned hot spring
areas, each with its own unique legend.
