Director Profile
Born in Dusseldorf in 1981, Shintaro Suzuki(Kinta) lived
in Paris until the age of five. After returning to Japan,
he spent his subsequent years in Tokyo until he graduated
from high school. As he long to be an aeronautical engineer,
he majored in aeronautical engineering at Nagoya University,
one of the most prestigious national universities in
Japan.
When he was a sophomore, Tendo embarked on a journey
across the United States from New York to San Francisco
for a month, carrying a backpack. Having encountered
a diversity of different cultures while traveling alone,
he realized over and over again that he was really Japanese.
For instance, eating sandwiches and hamburgers every
day made him register his delicate palate that had been
nurtured by tucking into more sophisticated Japanese
cuisine at home. He also became aware of different flavorings
and preservatives contained in chewing gum and juice.
After returning to Japan, his considerable travel experience
in the United States rendered him interested in acting
a bridge between Japan and the world, entering magellan
resorts & trust inc. in order to be involved in
a project that introduces people from all over the world
visiting Japan to local regions of Japan, where much
of Japan's real beauty remains unspoiled. He is currently
active in developing innovative tour plans in Ishikawa
Prefecture.
The following is his message expressing his
ambitions.
"I am trying to expand a network of people who
can share our business philosophy in Ishikawa Prefecture.
I would like to introduce you to some valuable seasonal
events and experiences which are limited to a few days
or a week at most according to travelers' requests.
I wish to plan a tailor-made tour just for you, taking
full advantage of where you visit, when you visit. In
spring you will be impressed by cherry blossoms. In
summer you can go out for some cool air in the shade
of a tree. Autumn provides you with local delicacies
from the nearby Japan Sea and mountains. In winter you
will be captivated by the serenity of the graceful scene
with snow falling thick and fast. I do hope to share
each unique experience and impressive scene with you."
As TRJ aims to provide you with
custom tours just for you, your active involvement in
the planning process is imperative. Please don't hesitate
to contact me regarding your interests. I always make
every effort to accommodate your interests and satisfy
your curiosity."
